I Teach Reiki Because
Reiki Is Still Teaching Me.
After more than 20 years, Reiki continues to teach, challenge, comfort, and bring me home to myself.
I am still a student—of Reiki, of the Self, of Great Mystery.
One of my greatest joys is witnessing students open, soften, and discover their own relationship with Reiki. Each time I share this beautiful practice, I learn something new about myself, others, and this miracle of life.
— Babylove
Reiki: An Invitation Inward
Reiki is a simple, gentle practice that invites us to slow down, let go, relax, and listen deeply to what we need for greater health and wholeness.
Through meditation, the Reiki precepts, and the exploration of life-force energy, we deepen our connection with ourselves—and discover more of the peace, wisdom, and wholeness already within us.

What We'll Learn & Practice
Your Reiki Level I initiation includes:
- Group connection and healing meditation
- Reiki history
- Four Reiju (spiritual blessing or attunement) — two each day
- Introduction to the Three Hara, or “diamonds” — a traditional Japanese map of the body's energy centers
- Hara (belly) strengthening meditation and “purifying breath”
- A hands-on Reiki self-care and balancing practice
- A hands-on Reiki chair session for sharing Reiki with others
- Spiritual centering meditation
- Contemplation of the Reiki Principles

Good to Know
Do I need previous Reiki experience?
Not at all. Reiki I is designed for beginners. No previous experience with Reiki, energy healing, or meditation is required.
Where is Freebird Valley?
Freebird Valley is nestled in the Rocky Mountains of South Park County, Colorado, about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Denver. Its five secluded acres offer beautiful mountain views, quiet Aspen groves, and space to reconnect with yourself and Nature.
What are the accommodations like?
Freebird's cozy Main House offers shared sleeping accommodations and comfortable communal spaces. Each participant has their own bed, with typically two to three people sharing a room.
What kind of food will be served?
Nourishing vegetarian meals are provided throughout the retreat, with gluten-free options available. We also work with participants to accommodate food allergies and individual dietary needs.
What are the requirements for Reiki Level I certification?
You do not need a certificate to practice Reiki for self-care or share Reiki with friends and family. If you would like your Reiki Level I certificate, it is provided upon completion of the post-retreat practice requirements.

Surrounded by the natural beauty and quiet of the Rocky Mountains, retreat offers space to breathe, listen, reflect, and simply be.
At Freebird Valley, the breath of life we explore within ourselves through Reiki is alive all around us—in the trees, the wind, the earth, and the open sky—inviting deeper connection with ourselves, Nature, and Life.
